Le Mans Ultimate February Update & New DLC

Le Mans Ultimate is the official game of the FIA World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans currently in Early Access Development. Recently developer Studio 397 announced their latest content update coming to the racing simulator.

The latest update brings a brand new DLC and another free LMGT3 car. After a lot of player requests, everyone can now look forward to a free Ford Mustang LMGT3 featuring a V8 engine in LMU.

The latest DLC brings 3 brand new cars to a popular class in Le Mans Ultimate, the LMGT3 if you haven’t already guessed. Part of the 2024 Season Pass or as a purchasable 2024 Pack 4 DLC, it will include 2 cars from 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3 and the Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3.

The 2024 Season Pack 4 will be available to purchase for £5.99 / €6.99 / $7.49 on February 25th or as part of the 2024 Season Pass for £39.99 / €45.99 / $48.99. Players who already own the 2024 Season Pass will automatically receive this content when the update is released.

Outside of new paid content, the developers will be releasing some new free content updates for the community. The first big update is an enhanced LMGT3 tyre model which the developer worked with real world drivers and data to update the model.

The developers say the tyre model  should feel more realistic and stable, while balance has shifted slight rearwards. The load sensitivity on the rear tyres has also increased which reduces the “push” effect typically found at high speeds. Additionally, the transient thermal grip loss and slip curve have been tightened.

Thermal degredation has been tuned slightly upwards to reduce the benefits of aggressive sliding over longer stints and emphasising the importance of tyre management.

Some changes have also been made to the data players have access to via the HUD while driving. Standings on the top left of the screen now include tyre compound, energy data and upcoming penalties. The Multi-Function Display (MFD) also will now show a gradient red for drivers that are or about to be a lap ahead or blue for a lap behind.

In the top-right of the screen players will now have data about their last lap to track performance and the ability to reset delta via a keybind has been added. A lap estimation based on the top category has been introduced to help when inputting the amount of virtual energy require when needing a splash and dash.

Finally, a new damage display system has been added with varying states of damage or missing.

Stephen Hood, CEO of Motorsport Games and Head of Studio 397 sent the following message for the community:

The last update in December 2024 brought a significant increase in players to the game with LMGT3 cars and new features. We believe the improvements, new cars and additional circuit layouts for this release will delight fans and keep you engaged with a game that continues to move in a positive direction
